Essence of the Sea

Soft rather than pale-to-invisible - the green undertone is faint but genuinely there. 7475 in the Vista Paint range.

LRV 76.0 - comfortably in the range that suits a whole room rather than one wall. Chroma 8.0 keeps the green undertone present without letting it run the room.

The green undertone is more noticeable under cool, daylight-balanced bulbs than under standard warm ones, which tend to mute it. A good fit for bedrooms and nurseries, where softness matters more than intensity. Vista Paint Light Lavendar pairs well as a second surface - close enough in feel to belong in the same room, far enough in lightness to read as two distinct walls (about 9 points apart on the reflectance scale).

For anyone tied to a different brand, Behr Dew Pointe (M450-1) is the nearest stand-in, at a delta-E of 1.15. A satin finish is worth it in a room that needs to be wiped down often, at the cost of showing a bit more of the wall's surface than a flat finish would.

It is lighter than 80 percent of the Vista Paint range. Vista Paint lists it in the K codes, alongside 1,318 other colors.
