This site is a reference for paint colours. Most of it can be used without an account, and most visitors leave nothing behind but a line in a log. Last updated September 2026.
Without an account. Pages count how often each colour is opened, as a plain number on the colour itself; nothing in that count identifies anyone. Searches are recorded as the words typed, the number of results, and a one-way hash of the IP address. The hash exists so the same search repeated fifty times can be told from fifty people searching once. It cannot be turned back into an address.
With an account. An email address, a password stored only as a bcrypt hash, an optional display name, and the colours and collections kept. The address is a way back into the account. Nothing is sent to it: there is no newsletter, and the address is never passed to anyone else.
The comparison list built while browsing lives in the browser's own storage and is never sent to the server.
Cookies. One session cookie when signed in, and one for the admin area. No tracking cookies, and no advertising or analytics cookies are set by this site.
The site publishes its own images to its own Pinterest business board through Pinterest's API. What is stored for that is an access token, a refresh token and the board identifier, all belonging to the site's own account.
This connection does not touch visitors. It does not read anyone else's pins or boards, does not act on behalf of any other account, and collects nothing about Pinterest users. Visiting a page here does not tell Pinterest anything: no Pinterest script, pixel or button runs on this site.
Where advertising appears, it is served by a third-party network which may set its own cookies and use them to choose what to show. That happens under the network's own policy, not this one. Nothing about a visitor's account, saved colours or searches is ever passed to it.
Account data is kept while the account exists. Search records are kept for ninety days and then deleted; the counts they feed are anonymous and stay. Server logs are kept as long as the host keeps them, typically a few weeks.
To see what is held, to correct it, or to have the account and everything in it deleted, write to the address below. Deletion is done by hand and takes a few days; once done, nothing of the account remains except the anonymous view counts, which cannot be traced back to it.
