Cross-brand matchCross-brand matchPPG 1036-7 translated into the Vista Paint line
The closest Vista Paint paint to PPG Mostly Metal (1036-7) is Charcoal Shadow 8286, a delta-E of 2.62 away — the nearest Vista Paint makes, and near enough for most rooms, but it is not an exact copy.
Charcoal Shadow is 1 LRV points lighter, so the room will read slightly brighter. Undertone reads as true neutral against true neutral, at chroma 1.7 and 2.9.
Codes are not transferable between manufacturers and no brand publishes a conversion table, so every figure here is measured from the published hex values rather than taken from a chart.
